Psalm 97

1Yahweh reigns! Let the earth rejoice! Let the multitude of islands be glad! 2Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. Clouds and darkness are around him. 3and burns up his adversaries on every side. A fire goes before him, 4The earth sees, and trembles. His lightning lights up the world. 5at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. The mountains melt like wax at the presence of Yahweh, 6All the peoples have seen his glory. The heavens declare his righteousness. 7who boast in their idols. * Let all them be shamed who serve engraved images, 8The daughters of Judah rejoiced, because of your judgments, Yahweh. Zion heard and was glad. 9You are exalted far above all gods. For you, Yahweh, are most high above all the earth. 10He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. You who love Yahweh, hate evil. 11and gladness for the upright in heart. Light is sown for the righteous, 12Give thanks to his holy Name. Be glad in Yahweh, you righteous people!
