Psalm 135

1Praise Yah! Praise Yahweh’s name! Praise him, you servants of Yahweh, 2in the courts of our God’s house. you who stand in Yahweh’s house, 3Sing praises to his name, for that is pleasant. Praise Yah, for Yahweh is good. 4Israel for his own possession. For Yah has chosen Jacob for himself; 5that our Lord is above all gods. For I know that Yahweh is great, 6in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps; Whatever Yahweh pleased, that he has done, 7who makes lightnings with the rain; who brings the wind out of his treasuries; who causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth; 8both of man and animal; Who struck the firstborn of Egypt, 9on Pharaoh, and on all his servants; Who sent signs and wonders into the middle of you, Egypt, 10and killed mighty kings, who struck many nations, 11Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan, Sihon king of the Amorites, 12a heritage to Israel, his people. and gave their land for a heritage, 13your renown, Yahweh, throughout all generations. Your name, Yahweh, endures forever; 14and have compassion on his servants. For Yahweh will judge his people, 15the work of men’s hands. The idols of the nations are silver and gold, 16They have eyes, but they can’t see. They have mouths, but they can’t speak. 17neither is there any breath in their mouths. They have ears, but they can’t hear; 18yes, everyone who trusts in them. Those who make them will be like them; 19House of Aaron, praise Yahweh! House of Israel, praise Yahweh! 20You who fear Yahweh, praise Yahweh! House of Levi, praise Yahweh! 21Who dwells at Jerusalem. Blessed be Yahweh from Zion, Praise Yah!
