Psalm 25

1To you, Yahweh, do I lift up my soul. 2Don’t let me be shamed. Don’t let my enemies triumph over me. My God, I have trusted in you. 3They shall be shamed who deal treacherously without cause. Yes, no one who waits for you shall be shamed. 4Teach me your paths. Show me your ways, Yahweh. 5For you are the God of my salvation, I wait for you all day long. Guide me in your truth, and teach me, 6for they are from old times. Yahweh, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness, 7Remember me according to your loving kindness, for your goodness’ sake, Yahweh. Don’t remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions. 8therefore he will instruct sinners in the way. Good and upright is Yahweh, 9He will teach the humble his way. He will guide the humble in justice. 10to such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. All the paths of Yahweh are loving kindness and truth 11pardon my iniquity, for it is great. For your name’s sake, Yahweh, 12He shall instruct him in the way that he shall choose. What man is he who fears Yahweh? 13* shall inherit the land. His soul shall dwell at ease. 14He will show them his covenant. The friendship of Yahweh is with those who fear him. 15for he will pluck my feet out of the net. My eyes are ever on Yahweh, 16for I am desolate and afflicted. Turn to me, and have mercy on me, 17Oh bring me out of my distresses. The troubles of my heart are enlarged. 18Forgive all my sins. Consider my affliction and my travail. 19They hate me with cruel hatred. Consider my enemies, for they are many. 20Let me not be disappointed, for I take refuge in you. Oh keep my soul, and deliver me. 21for I wait for you. Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, 22out all of his troubles. Redeem Israel, God,
