Psalm 118

1Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever. 2that his loving kindness endures forever. Let Israel now say 3that his loving kindness endures forever. Let the house of Aaron now say 4that his loving kindness endures forever. Now let those who fear Yahweh say 5Yah answered me with freedom. Out of my distress, I called on Yah. 6What can man do to me? Yahweh is on my side. I will not be afraid. 7Therefore I will look in triumph at those who hate me. Yahweh is on my side among those who help me. 8than to put confidence in man. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, 9than to put confidence in princes. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, 10but in Yahweh’s name, I cut them off. All the nations surrounded me, 11In Yahweh’s name I indeed cut them off. They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me. 12They are quenched like the burning thorns. In Yahweh’s name I cut them off. They surrounded me like bees. 13but Yahweh helped me. You pushed me back hard, to make me fall, 14He has become my salvation. Yah is my strength and song. 15“The right hand of Yahweh does valiantly. The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous. 16The right hand of Yahweh does valiantly!” The right hand of Yahweh is exalted! 17and declare Yah’s works. I will not die, but live, 18but he has not given me over to death. Yah has punished me severely, 19I will enter into them. I will give thanks to Yah. Open to me the gates of righteousness. 20the righteous will enter into it. This is the gate of Yahweh; 21and have become my salvation. I will give thanks to you, for you have answered me, 22The stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner. 23It is marvelous in our eyes. This is Yahweh’s doing. 24We will rejoice and be glad in it! This is the day that Yahweh has made. 25Yahweh, we beg you, send prosperity now. Save us now, we beg you, Yahweh! 26We have blessed you out of Yahweh’s house. Blessed is he who comes in Yahweh’s name! 27Bind the sacrifice with cords, even to the horns of the altar. Yahweh is God, and he has given us light. 28You are my God, I will exalt you. You are my God, and I will give thanks to you. 29for his loving kindness endures forever. Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good,
