Psalm 60
1God, you have rejected us. You have broken us down. Restore us, again. You have been angry. 2You have torn it. for it quakes. You have made the land tremble. Mend its fractures, 3You have made us drink the wine that makes us stagger. You have shown your people hard things. 4that it may be displayed because of the truth. You have given a banner to those who fear you, Selah. 5save with your right hand, and answer us. So that your beloved may be delivered, 6“I will triumph. I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth. God has spoken from his sanctuary: 7Ephraim also is the defense of my head. Judah is my scepter. Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine. 8I will throw my shoe on Edom. I shout in triumph over Philistia.” Moab is my wash basin. 9Who has led me to Edom? Who will bring me into the strong city? 10You don’t go out with our armies, God. Haven’t you, God, rejected us? 11for the help of man is vain. Give us help against the adversary, 12for it is he who will tread down our adversaries. Through God we shall do valiantly,
