Psalm 147
1Praise Yah, for it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and fitting to praise him. 2He gathers together the outcasts of Israel. Yahweh builds up Jerusalem. 3and binds up their wounds. He heals the broken in heart, 4He calls them all by their names. He counts the number of the stars. 5His understanding is infinite. Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. 6He brings the wicked down to the ground. Yahweh upholds the humble. 7Sing praises on the harp to our God, Sing to Yahweh with thanksgiving. 8who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass grow on the mountains. who covers the sky with clouds, 9and for the young ravens when they call. He provides food for the livestock, 10He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man. He doesn’t delight in the strength of the horse. 11in those who hope in his loving kindness. Yahweh takes pleasure in those who fear him, 12Praise your God, Zion! Praise Yahweh, Jerusalem! 13He has blessed your children within you. For he has strengthened the bars of your gates. 14He fills you with the finest of the wheat. He makes peace in your borders. 15His word runs very swiftly. He sends out his commandment to the earth. 16and scatters frost like ashes. He gives snow like wool, 17Who can stand before his cold? He hurls down his hail like pebbles. 18He causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow. He sends out his word, and melts them. 19his statutes and his ordinances to Israel. He shows his word to Jacob; 20They don’t know his ordinances. He has not done this for just any nation. Praise Yah!
