Psalm 77

1My cry goes to God! Indeed, I cry to God for help, and for him to listen to me. 2My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn’t get tired. My soul refused to be comforted. In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. 3I complain, and my spirit is overwhelmed. I remember God, and I groan. Selah. 4I am so troubled that I can’t speak. You hold my eyelids open. 5the years of ancient times. I have considered the days of old, 6I consider in my own heart; my spirit diligently inquires: I remember my song in the night. 7Will he be favorable no more? “Will the Lord reject us forever? 8Does his promise fail for generations? Has his loving kindness vanished forever? 9Has he, in anger, withheld his compassion?” Has God forgotten to be gracious? Selah. 10the years of the right hand of the Most High.” Then I thought, “I will appeal to this: 11for I will remember your wonders of old. I will remember Yah’s deeds; 12and consider your doings. I will also meditate on all your work, 13What god is great like God? Your way, God, is in the sanctuary. 14You have made your strength known among the peoples. You are the God who does wonders. 15the sons of Jacob and Joseph. You have redeemed your people with your arm, Selah. 16The waters saw you, and they writhed. The depths also convulsed. The waters saw you, God. 17The skies resounded with thunder. Your arrows also flashed around. The clouds poured out water. 18The lightnings lit up the world. The earth trembled and shook. The voice of your thunder was in the whirlwind. 19your paths through the great waters. Your footsteps were not known. Your way was through the sea; 20by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
