Job 40

1Moreover Yahweh answered Job, 2He who argues with God, let him answer it.” “Shall he who argues contend with the Almighty? 3Then Job answered Yahweh, 4I lay my hand on my mouth. “Behold, I am of small account. What shall I answer you? 5Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further.” I have spoken once, and I will not answer; 6Then Yahweh answered Job out of the whirlwind, 7I will question you, and you will answer me. “Now brace yourself like a man. 8Will you condemn me, that you may be justified? Will you even annul my judgment? 9Can you thunder with a voice like him? Or do you have an arm like God? 10Array yourself with honor and majesty. “Now deck yourself with excellency and dignity. 11Look at everyone who is proud, and bring him low. Pour out the fury of your anger. 12Crush the wicked in their place. Look at everyone who is proud, and humble him. 13Bind their faces in the hidden place. Hide them in the dust together. 14that your own right hand can save you. Then I will also admit to you 15He eats grass as an ox. “See now, behemoth, which I made as well as you. 16His force is in the muscles of his belly. Look now, his strength is in his thighs. 17The sinews of his thighs are knit together. He moves his tail like a cedar. 18His limbs are like bars of iron. His bones are like tubes of brass. 19He who made him gives him his sword. He is the chief of the ways of God. 20where all the animals of the field play. Surely the mountains produce food for him, 21in the covert of the reed, and the marsh. He lies under the lotus trees, 22The willows of the brook surround him. The lotuses cover him with their shade. 23He is confident, though the Jordan swells even to his mouth. Behold, if a river overflows, he doesn’t tremble. 24or pierce through his nose with a snare? Shall any take him when he is on the watch,
